Sotogrande International Camps host a variety of Specialist Camps throughout the academic year. Our philosophy is helping young people to find their passion and by offering these Camps we hope to engage students and inspire them.
The Camps are run by specialists in their respective fields and the emphasis is on high level coaching and teaching making involvement in one of these Camps an unforgettable experience.
This Summer we will be hosting the Valentina Koslova Dance Conservatory from New York for a repeat of their Intensive Ballet camp of 2016.
The Camp is based at the Boarding House and the School and will run from the 31st of July to the 12th of August. Last year the teachers were from the Bolshoi Ballet and the Conservatoire de Paris and they were able to translate that experience into some incredible practice sessions and an amazing final performance.
We also welcome back the Chus Mateo Basketball Academy in July.
Chus is currently the assistant coach at Real Madrid and won a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics with the Spanish National Team. We have two Camps running this summer.
The Campus de Iniciación is designed for younger players from 6 years old and feature learning the basic skills of Basketball via games and fun activities. We also have English sessions run by SIS teachers to complement the sporting element of the Camp. We also allow enough time for everyone to enjoy the swimming pool next to the Sports Hall.
The Campus de Perfeccionamiento draws students from all over the world coming for an Intensive Basketball experience, Chus and his team work on individual and team skills and also work on strength and conditioning and use video analysis to assist with feedback and development of the players.
